Next month there will be a bridge competition held at UTM, and my friend Jubair and I have decided to join this competition. After meeting few times and discussing the model and how it has to look like, we decided to make an arch bridge.
At first we were discussing of whether to put the arc on the top or bottom, which we later decided to put it on the bottom of the deck. Then we later decided to add two more arcs diagonally to make the whole structure more stable.
In this competition we are supposed to use balsa wood of 5mm x 5mm in cross section and 1000mm in length.
Yesterday using the AutoCAD we made our semi-final drawing which needs some touch up.
We have to show this model to our lecturer and get advice from them… J Hope it all goes well and we achieve the goal we are having in our great minds! J
